DBasia.news – Sergio Aguero continues to plant history and a record with Manchester City in the Premier League. The Argentine striker scored when Man City won 1-0 over Burnley.
Playing at Turf Moor, Burnley headquarters, in the 36th week of the Premier League, Sunday (4/28) evening WIB, The Citizens won 1-0 through Aguero’s goal which was printed on the 63rd minutes. One goal has gained three important points for Man City in a duel for the fight for the Premier League title against Liverpool.
Man City released 25 attempted kicks and dominated possession 70 percent in the match. One goal was printed hard because Sean Dyche’s boys parked the bus at the back line and only relied on hull ball games.
It can be seen with only a record of two attempted kicks and no kicks on target. Aguero’s goal was created dramatically as the ball was swept away by Matthew Lowton.
Seeing it in plain view, the ball has not fully entered the goal. However, thanks to the help of goal line technology, the ball was declared to have went in after crossing the Burnley goal line completely. Whatever it is, Aguero’s goal is still counted to be a goal and made a special note.
The 30-year-old Argentine striker became the first player, second after Thierry Henry, who scored 20 goals or more in five consecutive seasons in the Premier League. Henry was an Arsenal legend in the mid-1999-2007.
Without that record, Aguero had become a legend for the club he has been defending from 2011. Aguero’s City top score of all time through a total of 230 goals and 163 of them were created in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola, City manager, has ran out of words describing the greatness of Aguero. According to him, Aguero is a legendary player who often scores important goals all the time.
“He (Aguero) is a legend. He did it all the time, he scored important goals all the time, he was a very great player,” said Guardiola, as reported by the Goal.
Another note, Aguero has now scored nine goals in the last eight matches against Burnley in all competitions. Aguero is also getting closer to acquiring 21 goals from Liverpool wing striker, Mohamed Salah, in the Premier League.
