DBasia.news – Sergio Ramos’ role in Real Madrid’s defense cannot be doubted. The Spanish national is even considered the most influential player at Los Blancos after winning the LaLiga title this season.
As a defender, Ramos has scored 11 goals throughout the season. Former teammate, Rafael Van der Vaart also thinks the 34-year-old is the best defender in the world.
“For me, he is the best defender in the world,” Van der Vaart said regarding Ramos to Stats Perform News.
According to Van der Vaart, Ramos is able to know his limits in the field and this is considered to be the key to his success in winning many titles. Even the former Dutch national team player believes Ramos is still able to play for the next six years.
“He is aware of his ability, strength and condition, and that helps him become a very important figure for him who has won many titles,” added the former Tottenham Hotspur player.
“I’m sure he can play for another six years, I really respect him.” he concluded.
After winning the Laliga title, Real Madrid is currently focused on the Champions League. Madrid will play the second leg of the top 16 against Manchester City, Saturday (08/08) AM, in the aggregate condition 1-2 goals behind.
However, Sergio Ramos was unable tp play as he received a red card in the first leg which ended with the victory of The Citizens 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
