Solskjaer Becomes Ighalo’s mentor

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the eyes of Odion Ighalo is a competent manager for Manchester United.

Since being loaned from Shanghai Shenhua in January, Ighalo has often been corrected by Solskjaer, known as a deadly attacker when he was a supersub in the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

“Ole once said, you are a striker, so you should not waste an opportunity. I really learned many things from him, especially in the aspect of positioning yourself on the field and doing some things in the match,” Ighalo said as quoted from Goal.

Although he had just joined, Ighalo’s performance did not disappoint. Already played for eight times, Ighalo managed to record four goals and one assist.

After becoming a manager, Solskjaer often received criticism. Many consider the manager who was still actively playing to have the nickname The Baby Face Assassin was unfit to be the manager of the Red Devils.

This is different from Ighalo who acknowledges that Solskjaer really has a good ability to train. He also mentioned that Solskjaer had a good foresight.

“As a striker it will be great when you are coached by a former striker as well. At the moment other attackers and I are very fortunate to be coached by him,” added Ighalo.

“Solskjaer has scored a lot of goals for Man United in the past. I am happy to learn so much from him,” he concluded.
