DBasia.news –  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, manager of Manchester United, is starting to be impatient with the development of the transfer of Leicester City defender Harry Maguire. Solskjaer wants Ed Woodward, United’s CEO, to immediately complete the transfer.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Solskjaer requested an increase in speed from Woodward to end Maguire’s transfer saga after Eric Bailly was injured. Bailly has a knee injury and is predicted to miss a long time.

The Ivory Coast defender’s injury came after Man United’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the International Champions Cup on Thursday (25/6) night Western Indonesian Time. As a result, the stock of Man United’s central defender again reduced.

Although the club still has Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, and Axel Tuanzebe, Maguire remains the club’s top priority after recruiting Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Negotiations between United and Leicester are still fierce.

Leicester insisted on a £ 90 million price tag, while United were still trying to get it for £ 70-80 million. Manchester City was supposed to also want Maguire, but, they didn’t need it.

Maguire is more needed by United because last season their defense was fragile. The 26-year-old player is considered to have the ideal profile to strengthen United and is predicted to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor (United legend), Rio Ferdinand.

Maguire’s two outstanding advantages are the high level of success in the air ball duel, plus the level of success when dribbling the ball from the backline.

The longer the wait, the closer the deadline will be for the summer transfer market. United is now entering the current phase or not at all. The price problem was allegedly the biggest obstacle behind Maguire’s transfer that didn’t end.
