DBasia.news – England national team are in Group A with Kosovo, Bulgaria, Czech, and Montenegro in the drawing of Euro 2020 qualification group on Sunday (2/12).
With England’s participation in the UEFA Nations League semifinal, Harry Kane and friends would have a tight schedule in 2019. However, England coach Gareth Southgate is looking forward to the schedule and motivated by the previous achievements.
“We’ve got another semi-final to look forward to this summer, there are boys who have won at youth level on the world stage and are pushing this group from underneath,” Southgate said cited by BBC Sport.
“We’ve had a really exciting calendar year, and there is potential for the next 18 months to be even more exciting,” he continued.
Wales national team coach Ryan Giggs also comments about the squad position in Group E with Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan.
“It could be better, it could be worse. It’s good that we are in a five-team group, it’s masses better. Croatia have an outstanding player in Luka Modric but also some very good players as well,” Giggs said.
“In the same part of the world Slovakia also, I don’t know an awful lot about Hungary but obviously we will do our homework over the coming months. Looking back at Euro 2016, it’s about challenging the players to climb that mountain again,” he concluded.
