Spalletti’s Comment of Inter Debut Failure
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti commented the failure in the first week of 2018-2019 Serie A. According to Spalletti, I Nerazzurri got defeated due to the counter-attack from the opponent.
Inter Milan were defeated 0-1 from Sassuolo in the first Serie A match. In the match at Mapei Stadium, Sunday (19/8), Domenico Berardi scored the goal for Sassuolo.
Berardi scored the goal by the penalty kick execution. Sassuolo got the present after Inter Milan’s defender Joao Miranda dropped Federico Di Francesco in the forbidden square.
Luciano Spalletti considered Inter have been playing well. The former AS Roma coach praised the counter-attack of Sassuolo.
“The team played the match like they should’ve done. We conceded too many counter-attacks but we lost because of a penalty, not because of the opposition’s dominance,” Spalletti said, as quoted by Inter’s official website.
“The reaction was thereafter we had conceded, but it was increasingly difficult because (Sassuolo) played mostly on the counter-attack.”
“They waited, leaving us to dictate play and then chose the right moment to attack us. Unfortunately, it’s easy to lose the ball on a pitch. But there are still 50 games left to play and we know how to deal with the situation,” Luciano Spalletti continued.
Inter Milan will play against Torino at Giuseppe Meazza in the second week, Sunday (26/8). Luciano Spalletti will do his best to revive La Beneamata from the defeat.
