Stefano Pioli: Milan Can Still Match Lazio

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Monday (4/11) early morning Western Indonesian Time, AC Milan was bent by Lazio with a final score of 1-2, in the 2019-2020 Serie A match, at the San Siro. AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli assesses that there is still a positive side to be learned despite being defeated.

AC Milan still can not get out of the negative period. Entertaining Lazio, Gianluigi Donnarumma and his friends could not win points after Joaquin Correa scored Lazio’s second goal in the 83rd minute.

Nevertheless, Stefano Pioli did not want to drag on grief. Pioli feels that Milan is in a developing phase and still needs time to reach the breaking point.

“In my opinion, this team is developing. Of course, if you look at the standings and the situation, the most important thing is victory. However, performance has been seen tonight,” Pioli said as reported by Sky Sport Italia.

“We take risks and present problems for opponents. We compensate for them throughout the game, until the last minute. I believe we are on the right track.”

Stefano Pioli feels that AC Milan will get better as time goes by. According to Pioli, the Rossoneri players no longer looked scared.

“Right now, what we can do is continue to grow on this path. I see a team that is struggling with all their strength for 95 minutes. I don’t see a team that is struggling, scared, even downcast,” explained the former Inter Milan architect.

“We still made a lot of mistakes such as when giving the bait, even though at that time we should have held the ball, and vice versa. I see the players were feeling anxious and frightened when they first arrived. Now, it is not visible.”

Stefano Pioli was appointed to replace the sacked Marco Giampaolo. However, from the four matches under Pioli’s care, Milan could only win one victory. While the other three ended with two defeats and one draw.
