Stefano Pioli’s Debut Match, AC Milan Draw against Lecce

DBasia.news –  Italian Serie A League match, Monday (21/10) AM, between AC Milan against Lecce became the debut match for Stefano Pioli. He recently replaced Marco Giampaolo as AC Milan’s new coach. A 2-2 draw was obtained by AC Milan in the match that took place at the San Siro.

AC Milan opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Hakan Calhanoglu. Utilizing a pass from Lucas Biglia, Calhanoglu succeeded in releasing a hard shot into Gabriel’s goal which produced Milan’s first goal. The 1-0 score closed the first round.

In the second half, the visitors tried to rise. They also received a penalty in the 61st minute after Andrea Conti did a handball in the forbidden box.

Khouma Babacar’s penalty kick was actually ignored by Gianluigi Donnarumma, but the ball rebounded was struck by the Lecce player against Milan. Equal score of 1-1.

AC Milan who did not want to be embarrassed in front of their own supporters immediately tried to reply. Attack after attack was built by Franck Kessie and mates.

The result, Krzysztof Piatek successfully broke Vasconelos Ferreira’s goal in the 81st minute. He successfully continued Calhanoglu’s assist.

At the end of the game, Milan continued to conceed by Marco Calderoni’s goal. The score evened out to 2-2 and lasted until the game ended.
