Suning wants to sell Inter Milan to a British investment company
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Inter Milan owner, Suning, is reportedly considering the option of selling Il Biscione. British investment company, BC Partners, is said to be the strongest buyer candidate.
Inter Milan president Steven Zhang recently denied rumors that the Nerazzurri would be sold. However, the situation is reportedly getting worse for the Chinese company.
Inter Milan continues to experience financial crises due to the impact of the corona virus pandemic. The situation is even more complicated due to the strict investment regulations of the Chinese government who no longer make football a priority.
CEO of Inter Milan, Giuseppe Moratta, indicated that Suning was looking for the best way. However, he was reluctant to reveal the decision to be taken.
“The owner is considering options in the interests of Inter Milan and will continue to respect the history of the club. We know we can rely on it because we have a solid foundation. We are united at the moment,” said Moratta to Radio Rai.
Italian media predict that Suning will sell some of its shares to BC Partners. In fact, BC Partners has the opportunity to become the largest shareholder of Inter Milan.
“BC Partners? The rumors are still over our heads. So, it should not be thought about,” he continued.
Currently, BC Partners is reportedly conducting an advisability test on Inter Milan’s finances. After that, they will make their first offer to the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, Suning will instruct Goldman Sachs, who is serving as an advisor, to arrange a meeting time. The agreement can be completed within the next month. The price of La Beneamata is estimated at no less than 1 billion euros.
