Targeted by Barcelona, Lautaro Martinez vows to remain faithful at Inter Milan
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, was widely mentioned in the Barcelona shopping list. Even so, Martinez insisted it was still at home in the Nerazzurri uniform.
“I am still very happy at Inter. The people there are very pleasant and so I am told them,” Martinez told TyC Sports.
Martinez only came to Inter last season. But his name was not so prominent during the Nerazzurri. Later, Martinez scored his 15th goal of the season in the match against Atalanta which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The departure of Mauro Icardi and playing in pairs with Romelu Lukaku made Martinez develop rapidly. This makes the Nerazzurri a serious contender for Juventus in the race for the Serie A title.
His achievements put Martinez on the shopping list of Barcelona and other big European clubs. Barcelona is reportedly looking for a new striker as a successor to Luis Suarez.
In addition to Barca, there is still Manchester City that also sees the 22-year-old man as a source of new goals after Sergio Aguero.
Martinez’s decision to survive cannot be separated from the figure of coach Antonio Conte. Martinez said many things have changed since Conte came. He also admitted that Conte had a different way.
“Conte convinced us to give the best. With the previous coach, I played a little. But with Conte I will develop rapidly,” said Martinez.
“Regarding the transfer market, I am still comfortable and happy to be at Inter Milan. I just do my job well and go through it.”
