The Big Goalkeeper’s Role in Tottenham’s Second Goal Counter Olympiacos

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Jose Mourinho, gave special praise to the goalkeeper who was in charge when his team faced Olympiacos on Matchday 5 Group B Champions League 2019-2020. The goalkeeper is deft to make Tottenham equalize.

Playing in front of the public, Tottenham actually left two goals first through the actions of Youssef El-Arabi (6′) and Ruben Semedo (19′). These two goals made the Lilywhites flinch and try to pursue victory.

Tottenham scored the first goal through Dele Alli just moments before the break. After that, Tottenham equalized through Harry Kane’s goal in the 50th minute.

The goal was created in the role of goal boy who gave the ball to Serge Aurier quickly. Lucas Moura who received a throw-in from Aurier sent a ripe pass that Kane struck.

“I love goal wicker who is as smart as I was before. That child is very smart today,” Mourinho explained as reported by BT Sport.

“He reads the game, understands the game, and makes important assists. This is an important moment for him and will never be forgotten,” continued The Special One.

“A goal before the break is very important. I don’t see it. I will see it later on the screen,” Mourinho said.

The former Inter Milan tactician insisted he did not ask his team to only aim for a draw. Mourinho wants Tottenham to finish the game as the winner.

“When you lose 2-0, if you control the game and know the draw is enough to qualify, you can draw in the second half and be pragmatic,” Mourinho said.

An additional three points make Tottenham accompany Bayern Munich to qualify for the round of 16. This success reinforces Jose Mourinho’s record of always being able to take his team to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
