The fate of Atalanta was determined in the match against Dinamo Zagreb
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Coach Gian Piero Gasperini revealed that Atalanta’s fate in Europe this season will be determined in the match against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday (11/27) morning. Gasperini also wants his team to perform optimally and score Atalanta’s first win in the Champions League.
Atalanta has failed to show his best performance in Europe this season. Papu Gomez et al are only able to win one point from four parties. Currently, they are at the bottom of Group C and three points adrift of Dinamo Zagreb in third place.
“The party will determine our fate. If we still want to appear in the Champions League, then we must be able to defeat Dinamo and win the final party phase of the group,” said Gian Piero Gasperini as quoted from the official UEFA website.
“We did not show the best performance in the match against Dinamo. But, we managed to show better performance when facing Shakhtar Donetsk. We have to be able to show the best performance in the match later,” Gasperini added.
On the same occasion, Gasperini also said that Dinamo would not be satisfied with the draw at the San Siro at dawn later. He also predicted the match would be exciting because both teams were eyeing three points.
“Both teams in the match will both want to win three points. At this time, we have not been able to make calculations regarding opportunities in the Champions League. We will only be able to count if we can achieve victory over Dinamo,” said Gasperini.
