The Future of Geoginio Wijnaldum with Liverpool has not come to light

DBasia.news – Georginio Wijnaldum’s future with Liverpool has not come to light. This was seen from the negotiation of the contract extension not meeting an agreement between the two parties.

Quoted from Sky Sports, Monday (4/5) the negotiation process between Wijnaldum’s agent and Liverpool is still very tough.

The 29-year player’s contract will expire in the summer of 2021. A number of media in the UK stated that the negotiation process did not run smoothly. In fact, the negotiation process had to be postponed for some time.

For the last two months Liverpool’s Director of Sports, Michael Edwards has been negotiating with Wijnaldum’s agent.

But until now the two parties have not found a common ground. As Wijnaldum’s agent has demanded a fairly large contract considering that the midfielder has also contributed greatly to Liverpool.

In February 2020, Georginio Wijnaldum was indeed said to have received a long-term contract offer from the management of the Reds.

Liverpool is said to be unwilling if Wijnaldum leaves from Anfield. The Reds management had been satisfied with the contribution made by the former Newcastle United player this season.

Earlier this year, Wijnaldum was said to be leaving Liverpool once his contract expires. He also had time to comment that it might happen.

“What do I like? It’s hard to say. It depends on what the club wants and how it is at the time. We will see. “Anfield is like home,” Wijnaldum told Sky Sports.

“I just focus on bringing this season to a good end and that’s the only thing I think about,” concluded Wijnaldum.
