The History Behind the Number 37 Jersey For Milan Skriniar
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Since taking part in Italian professional football, Milan Skriniar is inseparable from the number 37 jersey. The Inter Milan defender claimed there was a little secret behind the jersey number which he then made into the Nerrazuri jersey number.
The choice for the jersey, according to Milan Skriniar, is inseparable from two simple things. First, the jersey number on the national team. Second, it is his favorite number.
“In the national team, I wore a jersey with the number 3. Meanwhile, my favorite number was 34. When in Sampdoria, I added the two numbers and chose number 37. The number that I also brought to Inter Milan,” Milan Skriniar said as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb .
One interesting thing, Skriniar’s jersey number in the Slovak national team today is different. Since 2015, he has always worn the jersey numbered 14. That too was interspersed with number 15 in 2016. The number 3 is only used when strengthening the Slovak U-21 national team.
At the club, Milan Skriniar wore the number 3 jersey while defending MSK Zilina in 2011-12 to 2015-16. However, when he joined the Primavera Sampdoria team, he played in the jersey number 2.
Currently, like the players who defend Italian clubs, Skriniar is undergoing a ‘quarantine’ lockdown. It was applied by the Italian government in tackling the Corona Virus pandemic.
Milan Skriniar admitted that he really missed football, but had to follow the applicable policies. “I locked myself in my house with my girlfriend and three little dogs. I practiced according to the direction of our staff, played darts, and watched television series, “he concluded.
