The Legend Worries Arsenal Relegation at the End of the Season

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Arsenal performed poorly with Mikel Arteta in the 2020/2021 Premier League. The legend of the Gunners, Ray Parlor, is worried that his former team will be relegated at the end of the season.

Arsenal haven’t won a win in their last six Premier League matches this season. The London club has only been able to win two draws and four defeats.

Arsenal’s poor performance also had an impact on their position in the Premier League standings. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang et al now sits in 15th place with 14 points from 13 matches, and is only five points from the red zone.

Arsenal’s current poor achievement has made one of the club legends, Ray Parlor, wary of the future of the Gunners. The man, who played at Highbury Stadium from 1994 to 2004, considered Arsenal could have dropped caste, if they were still unable to rise from now.

“Someone asked me a question a few days ago, can they be relegated? I said, ‘Well, maybe not’,” Parlor told Off The Ball quoted by the Daily Star.

“However, you then see how Leicester can win the league with a score of 5,000-1 and win it – as a result they [Arsenal] could also be relegated,” he added.

“If they don’t take points and turn things around, then there is a real problem there,” he said.

Arsenal itself is one of the teams that has never been relegated from the top English competition since changing to the Premier League in 1992. The last time they were relegated in the Premier League was in the 1912/1913 season, aka more than 100 years ago.
