DBasia.news – Inter Milan president Erick Thohir admitted that he has no intention to release the club. Erick believed it’s not the time yet to sell La Beneamata.
Erick Thohir bought the majority shares of Inter Milan from the previous owner, Massimo Moratti. Erick bought I Nerazzurri in October 2013.
At that time, Erick Thohir bought 60 percent of Inter Milan’s share. The purchase was made under the name of International Sports Capital HK.
By this purchase, Erick Thohir becomes the president of Inter Milan since November 2003. However, the Indonesian businessman sold some of his shares to Suning Group three years later.
Now, Erick Thohir was rumored to let go of all the Inter Milan shares. However, the INASGOC chairman denied the issue.
“Selling my shares is a business decision and we, as businessmen, always want to wait for the right moment to walk away,” Thohir said quoted by Football Italia.
“Don’t forget that I am still the President of the club, even if I am only a minority shareholder,” Erick Thohir added.
If he sells the Inter Milan shares, Erick Thohir’s position as the president will be replaced. Steven Zhang or Javier Zanetti have the big possibility to replace Erick.
