Thomas Tuchel Still Hopes Kylian Mbappe Appears Against Atalanta
By db-admin
DBasia.news – PSG coach Thomas Tuchel did not break hopes of seeing Kylian Mbappe appear against Atalanta in the Champions League. Hope it can happen according to him.
Mbappe received a horror tackle when facing Saint-Etienne in the 2019-2020 Coupe de France final match last week. The incident injured his ankle and could not continue the match.
Initially, it was feared Mbappe had broken legs and had to be absent for a long time. But after further inspection, the injury was not as bad as imagined.
Mbappe is predicted to recover in three weeks. That means he must race against time to be one hundred percent fit in the crucial match.
PSG coach Thomas Tuchel was mature in dealing with this problem. He will not force Mbappe to appear if the conditions are not yet ready.
“We still have hope and every day it is important to achieve a miracle,” Tuchel said ahead of the Coupe de la Ligue final against Olympique Lyon.
It is rather impossible Mbappe can fit one hundred percent in a very short time. But crucially the match against Atalanta can make the player push himself.
Moreover, Mbappe is the mainstay of PSG in scoring goals this season. Besides being a Ligue 1 top scorer, he has also scored five goals in the Champions League.
