Trent Alexander-Arnold Wears Anti-Racism Shoes on Merseyside Derbi

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold will wear special shoes in the match against Everton at Goodison Park Stadium on Monday (6/22/2020).

As is known, the Premier League is aggressively campaigning against racism with the message ‘Black Lives Matter’. This is in response to the death of a black man named George Floyd due to the act of ridiculous United States police.

One of the real actions of the Premier League is to replace the names of all the players’ backs with Black Lives Matter in the first 12 matches during the pandemic. In addition, they were also allowed to kneel before the match begins.

But that does not seem to have satisfied Alexander-Arnold. He wants to take other concrete actions to support this campaign.

The shoes Alexander-Arnold will wear on the Merseyside Derby will be black. Then there are shades of Black Lives Matter written in white.

“Speak through your actions on the field. I always like that statement, but this time I want to act in another way,” Alexander-Arnold said via upload on his personal Twitter account.

“This is a moment of change to say all this is enough. This is a moment to stop it all and racism must be eliminated.”

After the match, these shoes will be auctioned. Then the profits will be donated to the Nelson Mandela foundation.
