Valverde’s Comments on Barcelona’s 0-2 Defeat over Granada
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Granada surprisingly defeated the defending LaLiga champions, Barcelona, with a score of 2-0 in the continuing match of LaLiga at Granada headquarters.
In the match that took place at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, in the AM, Barca did appear less promising. Even Barca had to quickly be left behind from Granada or precisely in the 2nd minute after Ramon Azeez broke into Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s goal.
Being left behind in a goal has made Barca increase their pressure on the Granada defense. A number of golden opportunities were obtained by Barca to be able to equalize. However, the closeness of Granada’s defense has failed a number of Barca’s golden opportunities.
Instead of being able to equalize, Barca’s goal continued to be broken into by Granada players precisely in the 66th minute. It was Vadillo who now has listed his name on the scoreboard, after the execution of his penalty failed to be secured by Ter Stegen.
Until the match ended, Barca failed to equalize and finally surrendered 0-2 from Granada. The defeat has also made Barca settle for 7th position in the 2019-2020 Spanish League standings with a score of seven points from five matches.
After the match against Granada, Barca’s tactician, Ernesto Valverde, gave his comments. Valverde claimed to be responsible for the negative results obtained by his players when they traveled to the headquarters of Granada.
“You always blame yourself for what happened, the actors are the players, but in the end, the coach is responsible. You can always win or lose, but when you lose, you must deserve to win and today is not like that, “said Valverde, as quoted from Football Espana.
“It is clear that this is not a good statistic for us and it is not in line with what we have done in the last few years. This relates to what I have said, we are not good in away games, “he concluded.
