Vincent Kompany Without a Coaching License, Anderlecht Received a Penalty

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Anderlecht’s decision to appoint Vincent Kompany as a coach turned out to have a long tail. The Belgian giants must receive a fine of 5 thousand Euros because Kompany does not have the required license.

For the violations committed, Anderlecht was fined 5,000 euros (around Rp78 million). These sanctions are fairly mild because similar violations can be given very heavy sanctions, namely revocation of professional club licenses.

Regarding this controversy, Anderlecht’s camp tried to explain. According to them, the figure who became the coach was Simon Davies who was brought in from Manchester City with Vincent Kompany. They stressed, Davies is not a doll or shield for the mainstay defender.

“From the start, it was clear that the role of Simon Davies was to lead training, determine tactics, and make changes,” Anderlecht’s lawyer Bert van der Auwera said last week. “The role of Kompany is three. He became a leader on the pitch because of his experience, implementing our vision, and guiding young players.”

In the end, to avoid further problems, Anderlecht took another step. On Tuesday (10/15/2019), they appointed Franky Vercauteren as the new coach. The arrival of the man who already holds a Pro UEFA license makes Simon Davies shifted to the position of assistant coach.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany is still unable to return to defend Anderlecht. Even though his arm muscle injury has recovered, he did not want to take the risk. During his time as a player and coach, Anderlecht won two wins and three losses.
