DBasia.news –  Vincent Kompany, former Manchester City defender and captain, has high hopes for his former club. He hopes the Citizens will win the Champions League.

Vincent Kompany left Manchester City at the end of the 2018-2019 season. The player heads to Anderlecht with player status and manager.

The 33-year-old said that Manchester City had a great chance of winning the Champions League. Because The Citizens inhabited the best players in the world.

“I just want to thank you for the incredible 11 years. It’s hard, beautiful, everything that has been passed along with the club I love. I am very grateful,” Kompany explained as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

“I am satisfied that this is the last match (winning the Premier League 2018-2019). I will not want another way. All of you are the best group of players to assist me in closing my career. I have got a new challenge.

“The challenge for Manchester City will be greater. They have just grabbed the domestic title, but have not won the Champions League. That is their target now.”

“You are a group of players who can achieve whatever they want. Never let the title slip.”

Manchester City have started to strengthen the team by bringing in several new players. So far, Pep Guardiola has won two new players namely Angelino and Rodrigo Hernandez.
