Want to Bring IN Lautaro Martinez, Barcelona president Admits Negotiations with Inter is halted

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Barcelona’s desire to bring in Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan would not appear to be realized in the near future. Blaugrana President, Josep Maria Bartomeu acknowledged that negotiations between the two clubs were currently stalled.

As is known, Lautaro is one of Barcelona’s main target to strengthen their front lines. The value of the Argentine striker is more realistic than Neymar.

Likewise, Lautaro was also interested in moving to Camp Nou. Barcelona is reportedly already in a personal agreement with the attacker.

But this transfer would not have been possible without the blessing of Inter as the club owner of Lautaro. Moreover, the Nerazzurri’s ambition is to maintain him next season.

“In the case of Lautaro, the negotiations are indeed postponed at this time. We have talked to Inter about Lautaro, but it has been a while and we will wait for the season to finish,” Bartomeu told TV3.

One that has hindered negotiations between the two clubs is believed to be related to Lautaro’s value. Barcelona’s financial strength is disrupted by the effects of the corona virus pandemic.

Barcelona seem to want to use a player barter scheme to smooth out this transfer. Meanwhile Inter wants to achieve cash if they have to lose Lautaro.

“The transfer market will be very different. Big clubs will face financial difficulties, but Barcelona always moves in the transfer market,” he added.

Lautaro’s own appearance has been declining as he had only scored one goal since Serie A resumed during the pandemic. But that did not appear to make Barcelona change its decision.
