By db-admin

DBasia.news – Tammy Abraham’s goal completed Chelsea’s rescue mission after trailing three goals behind the hosts in the first half, to clinch a 3-3 draw at West Brom.

Slaven Bilic played 3-4-3 tactics by relying on the trio of Matheus Pereira, Callum Robinson, Grady Diangana on the front lines. Meanwhile, Frank Lampard went down with a 4-3-3 formation and a trio of Kai Havertz, Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner in the front lines.

The action ran for four minutes, West Brom was already ahead of the goal scored by Robinson. Marcos Alonso failed to clear the ball perfectly, the ball was taken by Pereira who gave an assist to Robinson. In the midst of the Chelsea defense, Robinson scored with his left foot. 1-0.

Chelsea gasped and tried to reply but the opportunities from Abraham and Werner has failed to rip the West Brom goal, guarded by Sam Johnstone. In fact, West Brom got away with the second goal in the 25th minute.

Again the Chelsea defense made a mistake. This time, experienced senior defender, Thiago Silva made a blunder when trying to control the ball from Alonso until the ball was captured by Robinson. The striker ran over and ended with a second goal. 2-0.

The Chelsea defense was again dumbfounded when West Brom scored in the 27th minute. From Pereira’s corner, Daniel Furlong headed the ball and was converted by Kyle Bartley into a goal. Willy Caballero was unable to brush it off, 3-0.

Chelsea completely dominated the game in this first half, but they wasted too many chances to score. The first half ended 3-0 to the hosts’ lead at the Hawthorns.

Lampard tried to change his team’s game by playing Cesar Azpilicueta and Callum Hudson-Odoi early in the second half, replacing Alonso and Mateo Kovacic. The results were positive.

In the 55th minute Mount minimized the position with his individual action. Moving from the right side of West Brom’s defense which moved to the middle and releases a long-range shot from the penalty box. Johnstone was unable to shake it. 1-3 Chelsea tried to catch up.

The momentum is now with Chelsea. In the 70th minute Chelsea scored a crucial goal when Hudson-Odoi played a one-two with Havertz and finished it with Chelsea’s second. 2-3 Chelsea cut the distance on the scoreboard.

Chelsea struggled to equalize as West Brom had a tight defense. Lampard played his last weapon, Olivier Giroud replaced Thiago Silva in the 73rd minute and the goal he had been waiting for had just arrived at the end of the match.

In the 90 + 3 added time, Abraham equalized when taking advantage of the chaos in West Brom’s goal. Havertz’s shot was pushed over by Johnstone and Abraham grabbed the rebound from his corner. The position became 3-3 and lasted until the fight was over.
