Why Arturo Vidal Hasn’t Get the Trust from Ernesto Valverde

Vidal has a lot of experiences and technical quality. But he can’t ensure Valverde to send him frequently. Valverde even rumored couldn’t stand to collaborate with Vidal.

Apparently, Valverde’s patience is over after Vidal satirized his strategy. Vidal already showed his anger due to the benching.

The management broke the silence seeing the behavior of their 31-year-old player. Pep Segura, Barca sporting director, believed Vidal’s behavior showed the disrespect to the coach and teammates.

“In general, the situation with Vidal is very clear. Firstly, with his protests, it’s a clear demonstration that he wants to play for and serve Barcelona, contributing to winning everything, as he said when he was presented,” Segura explained.

“The negative part is he doesn’t have the delicate touch that a professional should have, out of respect for his coach and his team-mates. In a club as big as Barca, with the great professionals here, Vidal knows he has done wrong, that he lacked respect for his team-mates and I’m sure he will correct that.”
