Win at Home to Parma, Inter Milan Coach Assistant: There Are Still Drawbacks In Midfield.

DBasia.news – Inter Milan’s assistant coach, Cristian Stellini, admitted his team still had some shortcomings that needed to be fixed, despite the success of winning full point at home to Parma in Serie A on Sunday June 28th, 2020.

In the match that took place at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, Inter who was not accompanied by Antonio Conte had to be left behind first. Gervinho put the hosts ahead through his goal in the 15th minute.

“I think it’s more than just worthy of winning. It’s fully deserved. We already know that Parma is very dangerous in the counterattack, but we kept pushing and finally got the three points that were worth getting,” Stellini told Sky Sport Italia.

In addition, Stellini claimed to play a different strategy in this match. He placed Christian Eriksen as trequartista behind the duo Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

“We are looking for different options and aim to be more difficult to predict when moving forward. Nobody thinks we have a balance from the start with this new system,” he added.

“It was not easy, but we performed well and fully deserved to win.”

This victory keeps Inter’s chances of winning the Scudetto this season. They are still eight points behind Juventus who lead the standings with ten matches left.
