Woodward was condemned too Interfering Player Transfers by MU Supporters, Different from the CEO of Liverpool

DBasia.news – Peter Moore insisted that he was never involved in the player transfer process. The Liverpool CEO also said that he was not interested at all to interfere.
Moore’s statement was certainly to avoid himself getting into trouble as faced by Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward, who is currently bombarded with criticism.
Woodward was criticized by the Red Devils supporters for being considered to be too meddling in the player’s transfer business. Woodward himself has denied all that.
Moore felt he had to speak even though Liverpool supporters knew he had never intervened in matters related to the field. This was conveyed by manager Jurgen Klopp.
In Liverpool, the player transfer business is in the hands of Klopp, sporting director Michael Edwards, senior scout, president of Fenway Sports Group Michael Gordon, and club owner John W Henry.
“I don’t know and don’t need to know who is taking care of that (transfer of players),” Moore told the New York Times.
“I have to know whether we will get the next sponsor. I have to know whether our relationship with the Liverpool City Council is good,” Moore said.
This situation is not always the case in Liverpool. Ian Ayre, Moore’s predecessor, included a CEO who was active in player transfers. One of them when Liverpool got Roberto Firmino in 2015.
