Xabi Alonso Likes Karim Benzema’s Style

DBasia.news –  Joined Real Madrid in 2009, both Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso know each other. Alonso hails Benzema for his interesting style in playing football.

“I love how he plays and links up with his teammates. I’ve always been keen on this kind of forward. I believe he’s one of the best of the last decade,” Alonso said cited by Real Madrid’s official website.

“He’s a spectacular player, the kind of guy I would always like to have as a teammate and as a player in general. He’s not a number nine in the box, he’s got a lot more to his game than that. He comes short, frees up the space,” he concluded.

Xabi Alonso left Real Madrid to Bayern Munchen in summer 2014 before deciding to retire in 2017. Meanwhile, Benzema is in Real Madrid main squad until now.
