By db-admin

DBasia.news – Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema apologized after mocking Vinicius Junior some time ago.

The incident occurred when Real Madrid drew 2-2 at Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Champions League, Wednesday (28/10) am. Benzema mocked Vinicius as he spoke with Ferland Mendy ahead of the start of the second half.

Benzema is said to have asked Mendy not to pass the ball to Vinicius. He considered the Brazilian striker to have played poorly.

“He (Vinicius) did what he wanted. Brother, don’t play with him because he plays against us, “Benzema told Mendy in French as quoted by Marca.

As a left-back, Mendy often worked with Vinicius who plays as a left striker. However, after receiving a message from Benzema, there were significant changes shown by the former Olympique Lyon player.

Mendy recorded only three passes to Vinicius during the second half at Borussia Park. A sign that he was following Benzema’s instructions.

Benzema was aware that the incident had gone viral and that Vinicius had found out. Therefore, he did not hesitate to apologize to the player who was 12 years younger than him.

Benzema reportedly spoke specifically with Vinicius while undergoing training after returning from Germany. He explained what happened and apologized.

Vinicius also reportedly accepted the apology. He realized that the condition at that time was tense, so it was understandable that there was behavior that was out of control.

What Benzema had done was not commendable and should not be exemplary. This adds to the length of his list of disgraceful actions off the field after being involved in a conflict with Mathieu Valbuena which resulted in him being dropped from the French national team.
