Xavi thinks Qatar is more comfortable than Spain
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez has controversially called the Qatari political system to function better than in Spain.
The 39-year-old finished his playing career earlier this year and is now in charge of the Qatari club Al Sadd, who he strengthened after leaving the Blaugrana in 2015.
“I don’t live in a democratic country, but I believe that the system here works better than in Spain,” Xavi said.
“I must vote (in the Spanish elections in November), of course. I want the best for the future for me and my children. And unfortunately, I see the Spanish political system is not functioning properly.”
“Here we have peace of mind, security. We don’t have to lock the house. Nuria (Xavi’s wife) even told me that if we could continue here it would also be better for our children. Both of them were born here. In Qatar people are happy.”
“There is indeed no democratic regime, but happy people. They are happy for the royal family,” he said.
