DBasia.news – Mohamed Salah performed impressively during the 2017-2018 season. He delivered Liverpool to the final round of Champions League against Real Madrid.
However, Salah got injured and withdrawn in the first round. The injury involved Sergio Ramos who played aggressively guarding Salah.
The former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, denied that he gave the special instruction to his player to guard Mohamed Salah during the final round of 2018 Champions League. He assumed Salah’s injury was purely an incident.
“Not at all! Our game was always the same, regardless of who we were facing,” Zidane said.
“We told players about the individual characteristics of opposing players so that they were aware of specific things that those players did. But I didn’t want to do too much of that, as I wanted my players to focus primarily on our own game. Such an incident happened in football. That’s common,” Zidane continued.
Zidane resigned as Real Madrid coach after presenting three Champions League trophies and one LaLiga title. Now, Spain national team coach Julen Lopetegui filled his position.
