Zlatan Ibrahimovic Still Gives AC Milan ‘Luck’
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan won 1-0 over Brescia in the continuing Serie A match, Saturday (25/01) AM. That is, the Rossoneri have never lost since being strengthened by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The only goal in the match was scored by Ante Rebic on the 71st minute. Milan lost control of the ball with a percentage of 48 percent compared to 52 percent of the host, but they already had enough opportunitites of 18 kicks and four on target.
The result ensures that AC Milan have been undefeated in the last five matches in all competitions, plus four consecutive wins, since Zlatan Ibrahimovic came from Los Angeles (LA) Galaxy. Despite being 38 years old, Ibra’s experience and character has been contagious in the player’s locker room.
“Ibrahimovic only scored one goal, but with him on the field we have managed four wins and one draw, because he is an added value thanks to his presence and quality,” said Stefano Pioli, coach of AC Milan, reported from ESPN.
AC Milan kept their hopes of making it into the top four of Serie A with that victory. With 31 points, AC Milan are currently seven points adrift of AS Roma who won 38 points, have yet to play Week 21, and are in the Champions League zone.
“Our goal now is to qualify for Europe. We have to continue like so and not relax. We undergo game after game and won’t stop. “We have to win as many matches as possible and then at the end of the season we will see what happens,” Pioli added.
While Stefano Pioli’s 4-4-2 tactics in relying on Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the spearhead went well, Milan has the opportunity to enter the European zone. However, the fact is that Milan have also not been tested with big teams in Italy.
With all due respect, the teams that Milan faced are Sampdoria (0-0), Cagliari (2-0), SPAL (3-0), Udinese (3-2) and Brescia (1-0). The big test for Milan will take place on February 10, 2020 in the Milan Derby against Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri have consistently challenged Juventus in the hunt for the Serie A title.
