25 Names of Players in the Juventus Squad for the 2019-20 Champions League Group Phase

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  25 player names have been announced by Maurizio Sarri for the Juventus squad in the Champions League group. In the list, there are no Mario Mandzukic and Emre Can.

The Bianconeri are in group D with Bayer Leverkusen, Lokomotiv Moscow, and their opponents in the last 16 last season, Atletico Madrid. Juventus are one of the top champions this season because they have won five Champions League titles, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Can and Mandzukic’s removal from the Juventus squad raises enough questions, especially Mandzukic. Because the 33-year-old striker has been a mainstay striker of Juventus for the past four years.

Mandzukic helped Juventus not only with his goals but his sacrifice to help the defense. No doubt Sarri’s decision to remove him from the Juventus squad is quite questionable.

Despite rumors of his transfer all summer, Mandzukic is still reliable on the front lines. Sarri tends to rely more on Cristiano Ronaldo, Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala, and Gonzalo Higuain, former foster children at Napoli and Chelsea, to fill the front lines.

As for deleting Can, it is still understandable. Juventus have a stock of players piled up in midfield after the club brought in Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey.

Sarri also included Dybala, Gianluigi Buffon, and Giorgio Chiellini, although the captain is currently injured. Juventus will first visit Wanda Metropolitano, Atletico’s headquarters, in the first group match on September 19, 2019, at 02.00 AM Western Indonesian Time.
