Abramovic Forced Chelsea to Bring in Erling Haaland

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has reportedly asked management not to give up in trying to bring Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. According to the Express, the owner is crazy about Haaland.

Erling Haaland wowed many with the sharpness he displayed in Dortmund. Since joining in January 2020, Haaland has scored 49 goals in just 51 games.

Because of his contribution, Dortmund reportedly did not want to lose Haaland. However, the Bundesliga club is in a difficult position if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

According to circulating reports, as a measure to protect Haaland, Dortmund has put a tag of 150 million euros. With the club’s challenging economy, Dortmund hopes this amount will discourage interested clubs.

However, this apparently did not apply to Chelsea. Roman Abramovich believes he can make an offer that will make Dortmund not refuse.

The Blues are also not afraid to compete with other clubs that are also targeting Haaland such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City. Chelsea is well aware that they really need a striker.

This season, Chelsea’s top goalscorers in the Premier League are Jorginho and Tammy Abraham. Sadly, the two players each scored only six goals.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner who were expected to be goal machines were in fact sluggish. Both are still having trouble showing their best game.

Erling Haaland’s alternative

However, Chelsea is also not only focused on Erling Haaland. The Blues have an alternative, Romelu Lukaku.

The Inter Milan attacker is considered to be the answer to Chelsea’s support for the front line. Lukaku is predicted to have a lower value than Haaland, which is 120 million euros.
