AC and Inter Milan will potentially change owners in the near future

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Unfortunate news wafted from Italy. Two local teams, AC Milan and Inter Milan have the potential to change owners in the near future.

The coronavirus pandemic has indeed made many European clubs experience a financial crisis. Milan and Inter are not spared from this phenomenon.

The unequal financial balance has made the two clubs suffer large losses. Each club owner is reportedly seriously considering selling them to other investors.

Inter is now owned by a Chinese consortium, Suning Group. Meanwhile, the Elliott Group has recently become the owner of Milan.

This rumor was reported by the journalist of Il Sole 24 Ore, Carlo Festa. In fact, the transfer of ownership is possible in the near future.

“Both Inter and Milan are potentially for sale. Investors will be able to choose between the two clubs in Milan,” said Festa.

“Suning will accept the first suitable offer. Elliott is getting closer to the end of their temporal investment horizon.”

The news that Inter will be sold is actually not too surprising. The Nerazzurri appeared to be in a serious financial crisis and were forced to sell their two stars, Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.

Ironically, the sales profit that exceeded 100 million euros was not enough to balance Inter’s balance sheet. La Beneamata were also unable spend a lot of money to find a replacement.

Meanwhile, Milan’s sales plan is a surprise. The Elliott group that has been in power since 2018 has been quite successful in getting the Rossoneri back on track.

Last season, Milan was able to compete in the title race even though they ended up finishing in second place. Even though they did not spend a lot of money to bring in star players.

But Elliott, like American businessmen in general, only seeks profit. Now may be considered the right time to sell Milan at a fairly high price.

It is believed that the change of ownership in Inter and Milan will affect the competitive landscape in Serie A. If they get the right employer, the two teams would possiblly return to their past glory.
