AC Milan and Juventus Ask for Concessions in Player Salary Payments

By db-admin

DBasia.news – It seems that the economic crisis caused by the corona virus pandemic has not only made it difficult for Inter Milan to pay salaries. Reports from Italy say all Serie A teams including AC Milan and Juventus feel the same way.

Previously, Inter Milan was hit by a lopsided issue regarding the payment of player salaries. The Nerazzurri are reportedly asking players to give up their wages for two months as a participatory measure to save the club from the financial crisis caused by the pandemic.

These conditions made Inter Milan get a negative sentiment. Moreover, the Nerazzurri had just won the Serie A title. Inter was deemed to have no respect for the efforts of the players.

Apparently, this difficult problem is not only experienced by Inter Milan. Juventus and AC Milan also want to be flexible in paying salaries. They teamed up with all other Serie A teams to apply to the FIGC.

Serie A clubs asked the FIGC to make concessions in the deadline for paying salaries in the last four months of this season. That way, the club can include it in next season’s expenditure book.

If approved, the March salary threshold will be pushed back to June, April will be pushed back to July, and May plus June will be pushed back to December.

However, this step also carries risks. The relationship between players and clubs can be damaged due to late payment of salaries. Moreover, it is necessary to see whether staff and trainers are also included in the policy section.

Meanwhile, Serie A is getting more exciting

On the other hand, Serie A still has an appeal towards the end of the competition. Although, Inter Milan have confirmed themselves to be the best team.

Atalanta, AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus are knocking over the remaining three tickets to compete in the Champions League next season. With two matches remaining, the four clubs are no more than three points apart.
