AC Milan Announces there are no Corona Cases in the First Team

By db-admin

DBasia.news – AC Milan revealed that no corona virus was found in the players or their first team staff, a day after the club president said that a number of players had recovered from the virus.

In a statement posted on the club’s official website, Milan said “based on medical tests conducted so far, there were no positive cases of COVID-19 found in the players and first team staff.”

Milan added that the team will continue to run individual training programs that have begun this week, while hoping that the 2019/2020 season can be completed in the summer.

On Friday, Milan president, Paolo Scaroni told local media that players at his club had recovered from COVID-19, which had claimed the lives of more than 30,000 people in Italy.

Scaroni’s comments came out after Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Torino confirmed COVID-19’s positive test results on eight players.

On Thursday, Italian Sports Minister, Vencenzo Spadafora said he hoped group exercises could be carried out on May 18, but on Saturday he said that positive cases “were not a good sign.”
