AC Milan signed Malick Thiaw from Schalke

DBasia.news – AC Milan has finally signed a new defender in the transfer market this summer. Not Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, but Malick Thiaw.

Losing Alessio Romagnoli has made Milan look for a new defender. The Rossoneri want the defender to be young so he can be used for the long term.

Initially, Milan’s choice was Trevoh Chalobah. The 23-year-old defender reportedly wants to leave Chelsea in order to obtain playing time.

However, in the end the Blues chose to keep Trevoh Chalobah. Although, Wesley Fofana would likely join.

Milan, who were aware of the matter weren’t disraught. The Rossoneri are looking for another young defender.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports, the choice fell to Malick Thiaw. He is a potential young defender from Germany who plays for FC Schalke 04.

Last season, Malick Thiaw was still a mainstay for the Schalke academy team. However, this season he began to regularly gain trust. The 21-year-old defender has played in the Bundesliga three times.

To sign Thiaw, Milan disbursed 5 million euros. The player will undergo a medical test on Monday (29/8) before finally signing the contract.
