According to Courtois, Martial is not a star player

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Belgian national team goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois beat the drums of war against French striker who strengthens Manchester United, Anthony Martial. Courtois believes Martial is not a player with the label of a star player.

The mockery occurred when Courtois and his compatriot Jan Vertonghen were interviewed by Pickx. When the two were asked about the star players who missed Euro 2020, Courtois only mentioned one name, Sergio Ramos.

“Sergio Ramos…umm…umm,” Courtois said briefly in thought. However, Vertonghen mentioned more names that were absent from Erling Haaland, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Virgil van Dijk, Moise Kean, Miralem Pjanic, to Martial.

Courtois interrupted Vertonghen and said, “Martial? Is he a star player?” Courtois laughed and so did his partner Vertonghen.

A sharp satire to Martial, as Courtois had previously defended Chelsea and Man United were their direct rivals in England. Martial (25 years old) had experienced difficulties during his six years at Man United.

Anthony Martial’s record at Man United

Martial was again left out by Didier Deschamps for the Euro 2020 for the French national team, who were knocked out in the top 16 by Switzerland on penalties. It shows Martial’s career so far.

With the status of one of the world’s most expensive transfers of all time, Martial did not live up to expectations at Man United with inconsistent performances and frequent injuries. Martial has scored 55 Premier League goals in six seasons, averaging nine goals per season and providing 25 assists.

The record is relatively small if the count is six seasons at Man United. He is only 25 years old and fans are still waiting for the best from the former Monaco player.
