Achraf Hakimi Becomes the Sharpest Defender in Europe
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Achraf Hakimi was originally positioned as a defender, but together with Borussia Dortmund, Hakimi has scored productively.
Hakimi, 21, is able to play left, right and center back in three-back tactics. This season he has scored six goals in the Bundesliga and made him one of the top defenders in five major European leagues. Not only that, Hakimi also competes with players who originally had the main task of scoring goals: the attacker.
Quoted from the AS, the amount of goals that Hakimi has surpassed the amount of goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, Paco Alcacer, Marco Reus, Paulo Dybala, and even Antoine Griezmann in Barcelona – all goals counts in their respective leagues.
Griezmann, who was recruited by Barca from Atletico Madrid this summer for 120 million euros, has just scored four goals in LaLiga – the same as Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos.
Attacking has indeed become one of the most prominent aspects of the game for Achraf Hakimi. Some time ago, Hakimi scored for Morocco national team in Burundi in the Africa Cup Qualifying match. Hakimi ran 50 meters before scoring.
Hakimi has entered his second season at Dortmund as a Real Madrid loan player. Judging by his great performance, both at club and international level, Hakimi is believed to be returning to Madrid and becoming the mainstay of Zinedine Zidane’s team.
His 28 caps and two goals with the Morocco national team can be a valuable assets to overlay or start becoming Marcelo’s successors (left back). Hakimi can also be prepared to compete on the right side with Alvaro Odriozola and Dani Carvajal.
Dortmund has developed Hakimi’s game, however, the player still wants to return to Madrid and make his history there.
“I grew up in Madrid, it’s a club I call home and I want to continue to grow there as a player,” said Hakimi, as reported by AS.
