Achraf Hakimi officially strengthens PSG for five years

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Paris St. Germain inaugurated the move of Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan. Hakimi agreed on a five-year contract with his new club.

The Moroccan international player was signed by PSG for a ransom of 40 million euros (around Rp 686.2 billion). Hakimi crossed to Les Parisiens just after one season with Inter.

However, Hakimi’s short career with the Nerazzurri went well. Hakimi was almost irreplaceable having made 45 appearances with seven goals and 11 assists in all competitions, and helping Inter win their first Scudetto since 2010.

The 22 year old footballer becomes the second player to join PSG this summer after Georginio Wijnaldum. However, the French champion will not stop shopping because it is believed that he will soon land young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and experienced defender Sergio Ramos for free.

“We are delighted to welcome Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain today,” said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi on the club’s official website. “A signing of this caliber shows the level of our ambition, we are continuing to build something very special.”

“Achraf is probably only 22 years old and has already earned recognition as one of the most talented full-backs in world football. These are the standards we set at the club.”

Hakimi revealed that PSG had the same ambition as him. The former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund player can’t wait to meet his teammates.

“I feel very proud today. After Spain, Germany and Italy, Paris St. Germain offered me the opportunity to try out a new championship with one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. I can’t wait to meet my teammates, fans, and gain experience and passion at the Parc des Princes,” he said.

“I share great ambitions with my coaching staff and team-mates and will do everything in my power to deliver as much as I am expected,” added Achraf Hakimi.
