DBasia.news – Ahead of the game against Liverpool on Sunday (20/10), Manchester United’s important player Paul Pogba is not expected to strengthen the Red Devils squad. Pogba’s absence also follows David De Gea, who has been confirmed to be absent from the match.
Pogba is still undergoing treatment following an ankle injury he received recently. The doctor confirmed, the Frenchman still needed more than a week to rest.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said there was no choice but to reserve Pogba. Thus, the Red Devils must maximize the alternative players to strengthen their midfield.
“Paul is injured and has to undergo treatment. Had returned to play, but the injury re-crushed him. If forced to play, chances are he will struggle with pain. Hopefully not absent too long,” Solskjaer said quoted from the AS.
Manchester United needs a win over Liverpool to restore fans’ confidence in them. Understandably, already three matches Mason Greenwood et al did not win in the league. Currently, they are stranded in 12th place in the standings.
Meanwhile, the opponents they have to face, Liverpool have still not been touched so far. The eight matches that Juergen Klopp’s foster children have always ended in victory.
