DBasia.news – Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has hope for his team after beating Chelsea 3-1. Arteta wants Arsenal to make this victory the start of a revival.

Arsenal have won nothing in the Premier League since November 1. Meanwhile, it was Arsenal’s first win at the Emirates Stadium since winning 2-1 against Sheffield in October.

Three of Arsenal’s goals were created by Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka. On the other hand, Chelsea only achieved one goal through Tammy Abraham before the game ended.

“Results are the main thing today. We really need a win. We have had no luck and frustration with the results in the last eight weeks. So, this is a big win for us,” said Arteta to the BBC.

“From the first whistle, you could see the team had the energy and will to go out and win games.”

“The spirit before the game was very positive. They wanted it so much. I am happy for the players and supporters. We have been disappointing them for a few weeks. So it’s a good day to give them something.”

Arteta hopes that victory can give Arsenal confidence. The reason is, Arsenal are able to beat top teams.

“There is nothing more exciting than winning the London derby against Chelsea on Boxing Day. Hopefully, this is a turning point.”

“We know how good Chelsea is, but in the big moments we are the best team.”

“It’s great to be able to give something back to the supporters because I can imagine they are really disappointed. We started well and were dominant. This has given the team great confidence,” explained Mikel Arteta.
