Against Southampton, Chelsea Put Some Players on Rest

DBasia.news –  Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri planned to rotate the players in the match against Southampton during the EPL this weekend.

Sarri told his plan after the victory of his squad against MOL Vidi in the Group L of Europa League at Stamford Bridge, Thursday (5/10).

The Blues seemed to have a difficulty in playing against Videoton, but the only goal from Alvaro Morata at 70′ ensured the victory for the team and won three points in the temporary standing of Group L.

Sarri mentioned that his team didn’t play really well against the Hungarian rival, but he still impressed instead.

“I don’t think we played well, but I am very happy with my squad,” Sarri told BT Sport.

“It is very important in this period of the season to get results, it is not easy but I will have to change a lot of players for Southampton,”
