Ahead of the Derby d’Italia, Juventus Are in Good Momentum

DBasia.news – Slowly but surely, Juventus found the momentum to win even though the results were not satisfactory. Most recently, Il Bianconeri conquered AS Roma under Jose Mourinho’s direction.

Entertaining Il Giallorossi at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (18/10) early morning WIB, Juventus won 1-0 from Moise Kean’s single goal in the 16th minute. Juventus are currently in seventh place in the standings with 14 points, one point behind Roma in fourth place.

Although not yet convincing, victory is still a victory that increases the confidence of players. Especially when considering Massimiliano Allegri’s team without a win (two defeats) from the first three Serie A matches this season.

“I like the 1-0 result because it’s a good result, especially because we kept another clean sheet,” Allegri told DAZN.

“Roma are a good team technically, they have a lot of quality players and caused us problems at the start, then we scored a good goal and improved after that.”

Victory at the Right Time

After the match against Roma, Juventus will play Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Champions League, followed by the Derby d’Italia against Inter Milan in Serie A. The win against Roma came at the right time.

Allegri, who is in charge in his second spell with Juventus, sees his team slowly starting to achieve the game he wants: a solid team, strong defensively and efficient.

“We have players who are more suited to counter-attack, that is their characteristic, so when we try to play the ball, we either let our guard down or make it difficult for the opponent,” added Allegri.

“This is an important win, another step forward in the table and further progress for the season. We lost Dybala, De Ligt, Rabiot, Morata only came on at the end of the game but when everyone plays with that spirit you don’t concede many goals.

“We started to slow down the game at the right time, but we also needed to increase the pace when needed.”

“I’m not going to lie, I probably did some damage at the start with some of my choices, I have to get to know some of the players and their characteristics, but we got there.”
