Already Has Courtois, Real Madrid Still Chases Jan Oblak

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Zinedine Zidane is reportedly still disatisfied with the goalkeeper’s composition he has. As a result, Real Madrid is now chasing after Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.

Real Madrid has a problem with their goalkeeper position. Their main goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, still was unable to appear as expected. In fact, the former Cheslea player had played for one season.

Thibaut Courtois feels that he is receiving too much criticism from the media. The Belgium national team goalkeeper wants to prove he can perform better.

“The responsibility of the media is needed to not publish lies about such things. As in the end, many suffer from the problem,” Courtois explained as reported by FourFourTwo.

“I think it’s not polite to the players and people who really suffer,” added the goalkeeper.

Indeed, Zidane has a choice of other goalkeepers namely Alfonso Areola. However, Areola is reportedly not included in the coach’s plan. Zidane could not refuse Areola as he is part of Keylor Navas’ deal to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to news from Spain, Real Madrid did not search far to find a new goalkeeper. Los Merengues’s view leads to Jan Oblak.

The Slovenian player is indeed one of the best goalkeepers in LaLiga. This season, the goalkeeper has kept six clean sheets in eight matches.

Real Madrid reportedly needed 120 million euros to redeem Jan Oblak’s release clause. Reportedly, Zidane has given approval to the management.

Previously, Real Madrid reportedly had targeted Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea. However, De Gea chose to extend his contract with the Red Devils.
