Already Have Romelu Lukaku, Thomas Tuchel Confirms Chelsea Are Interested In Signing Erling Haaland

DBasia.news – The hunt for Erling Haaland next summer seems to be getting fiercer. Chelsea is now the latest club ready to hijack him from Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland is almost certain to become a bone of contention for big clubs once the 2021-2022 season ends. That coincides with the active sale clause of the Norwegian player of 75 million euros.

The price is certainly too cheap for a player of Haaland’s caliber. Its value is believed to exceed 100 million euros.

No wonder many big clubs consider this condition as the best momentum to get Haaland. The price is certain to soar in the past season.

Initially, Chelsea was not predicted to participate in the hunt for Haaland. That’s because the Blues already have Romelu Lukaku.

Both players are equally positioned as the spearhead. Having both is certainly very ineffective.

But an interesting view was conveyed by Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel. He admitted that a duet between Lukaku and Haaland was not impossible.

“We’ve spoken about Haaland a few times also in the transfer window. It (getting it) seems unrealistic and impossible to do,” Tuchel told SportBild.

“Of course we talk about him a lot because he is a fantastic player at Dortmund who is our big rival in the Champions League.”

Before bringing Lukaku from Inter Milan, Chelsea first made an offer to Dortmund for Haaland. But their fantastic offer was rejected by Die Borussen.

It is not impossible that Tuchel will ask Chelsea to return to pursue Haaland next year. His duet with Lukaku will certainly make the London club very feared by his rivals.

“Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks,” said Tuchel enigmatically.
