DBasia.news – Real Madrid managed to win 2-1 against Cadiz in the continuation of the 2022-2023 LaLiga. However, a number of dramas were present in that match.

The match which took place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Friday (11/11), and was under high tension. The visitors displayed a hard game to offset Madrid’s strength.

Not surprisingly, a number of Madrid players fell victim to Cadiz’s rough play. Vinicius Junior was one of the most frequently violated.

Vinicius’ emotions were provoked after a Cadiz player elbowed Rodrygo. But the referee actually gave him a yellow card.

Luckily the players of both teams were able to control themselves until the match was over. The referee didn’t even need to issue a red card.

Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti was grateful that the referee did not issue a red card in this match. According to him, LaLiga judges were too easy on giving sanctions to players.

“The other day I saw a significant statistic for Spanish football. It is said that of the top five leagues, LaLiga is the league with the most red cards. The total of 55 cards compared to 10 from the Premier League,” Ancelotti said after the match.

“For me (an elbow on Rodrygo) it should be a red card. But there were a lot of things that shouldn’t have been and this affects Spanish football, which is not a bad league.”

This statement does not mean that Ancelotti supports hard play that tends to be rough. Moreover, the players are the victims.

But he thinks a red card can change the final result. The quality of the matches has also decreased.

“Having more than 50 red cards means a lot. It’s something that affects the show because watching 9 vs 11 is not a game,” he added.

“I highlight that because I’m a fan of beautiful Spanish football.”
