Ander Herrera is ready to play for Man United against Chelsea

DBasia.news –  Manchester United will host Chelsea at Old Trafford in the Premier League match on Sunday (28/4) at 10:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, revealed the condition of the current squad.

The Spanish midfielder, Ander Herrera, has been able to play again after going through six United games in April due to a hamstring injury. Herrera last played when United won 2-1 over Watford in March.

“(There are still) three games left at the end of the season and Ander has trained again, he is enthusiastic. He might be involved (against Chelsea). I think he is fit enough to be involved on Sunday. I cannot guarantee it because there are still two days left, but he has been practicing for the last two days,” Solskjaer said at United’s official website.

Different fate experienced another midfielder, Scott McTominay. The Scottish pass player was doubtful against the Blues after missing before when United lost 0-2 to city rivals Manchester City.

“Scott failed to pass the fitness exam on Wednesday morning, so he will undergo the next test today (Friday), maybe to see if he is available (to play against   Chelsea),” Solskjaer added.

Another question asked by the media crew to Solskjaer at the press conference session was the matter of David De Gea. The performance of the Spanish goalkeeper has been declining lately because of the disrupted focus regarding his contract which ends at the end of the season.

“No. Not at all (backing up De Gea and playing Sergio Romero). I trust David and he, in my opinion, has become United’s best player for the past six-seven years,” Solskjaer continued.

“He has made a very clear appearance and through difficult periods is part of the footballer’s career. David will be fine, nothing to worry about.”

Chelsea Squad Conditions

Two Chelsea players who have been ruled out due to injury are Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Apart from those two names, Maurizio Sarri has several options available to play on the back, center and front lines.

Chelsea are predicted to apply 4-3-3 tactics by relying on Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in the middle, then in front of Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain and Willian.

Both United and Chelsea are still fighting together in the top four of the standings   Premier League (Champions League zone). In his last match, Chelsea failed to win at Stamford Bridge after being held to a 2-2 draw by Burnley.

Chelsea are currently in fourth place with 67 points, followed by Arsenal with 66 points and Man United with 64 points. In the last two matches after the match, Chelsea will play Watford and Leicester City, while United will fight Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.
