DBasia.news –  AC Milan swallowed two consecutive defeats in Serie A. Most recently, the Rossoneri lost 1-2 against Torino in Turin.

Playing at the Olimpico in Torino, Friday (9/27) AM, on week five of Serie A, Milan was supposed to have mastered the ball up to 55 percent with a total of 16 kick attempts and four on target. They even excelled in the 18th minute.

Milan’s superiority was created in the 18th minute through Krzysztof Piatek’s penalty. The penalty was created after Rafael Leao was dropped in the restricted area. Milan led 1-0 until the moment came to be the turning point of the hosts.

Pepe Reina, Milan goalkeeper, was sent off in the 72nd minute. In the same minute, Andrea Belotti successfully passed Mateo Musacchio and broke into the goal guarded by Gianluigi Donnarumma. Five minutes later, Belotti scored again after working with Simone Zaza.

Milan lost 1-2 and currently ranks 13th in the Serie A with six points, two wins and three losses. Uniquely, Marco Giampaolo, Milan coach, even called this game as Milan’s best match.

“We have controlled the game, we are just not clinical when we have a chance to score. We don’t take risks until two goals are created in five minutes, the whole game changes,” Giampaolo told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have a chance to score again from the opportunities of Piatek and (Franck) Kessie, so we created chances. There were mistakes, but that was Milan’s best performance so far this season and we dominated for a while. Sudaj is clear, the defeat happened because we weren’t good enough. “

Giampaolo added, his team did not deserve to lose the match and he was very confident his team could still develop in the future, because he had a good squad.

“The defeat was not worth it (accepted by Milan) and it clearly slowed down the process of development, our confidence, but I have seen that this is a good squad and I hope not to lose heart (enthusiasm),” Giampaolo stated.

“I have a good group of kids and can’t complain, even though they are the ones who criticize most true leaders. I’m sure the squad is able to develop, despite the setbacks, to get back on the right track,” he hoped.
