Andy Robertson: Fans Lifted Us
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Andy Robertson admitted he was “a bit scared” by Liverpool’s bus parade celebrations on Sunday (29/5) yesterday, after the team lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final. However, it turned out that his suspicions were wrong, the fans actually supported their disappointed mentality.
The Reds lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final at the Stade de France, Sunday (29/5) early morning WIB. Prior to the match, there was an off-field incident where tear gas was fired when many fans were unable to enter the stadium.
It marked the end of the 2021/22 season that saw Liverpool fail to win the Premier League and Champions League. Even so, the team from Merseyside managed to win the English League Cup and FA Cup.
Scottish star Robertson praised Liverpool fans for their passion for supporting the team with all their heart.
“To be honest, I woke up this morning in a bad mood,” Robertson told the club’s official website.
“I was a little scared of the parade, but when you get on this bus, you realize that the best fans in the world are present. It lifts our spirits. We will give everything again next season.”
“In our minds we wonder how many people will be in attendance today, but they are the best fans in the world. Representing them is the greatest honour. Our fans this season, 63 games, home and away. We can not appreciate them personally. more.”
Origi, who was instrumental in the club’s previous Champions League triumph three years ago, is leaving Anfield and he is expected to head to Milan in the coming months.
Origi was quick to pay tribute to the team, club and fans he left behind: “It’s been a special season. To see this kind of love, even after losing in the final. I’m grateful and happy.”
“I will miss these boys very much. I’ve been here for eight years, but I feel my goal is complete. The club is in safe hands. There’s still a lot to come from this team.”
Klopp praised the enthusiasm of the fans less than a day after the team’s Champions League defeat. “There is no club in the world – this world – that could have lost the Champions League final the night before and arrived here in their shape and in their mood,” Klopp said of the supporters.
“It’s absolutely incredible. It’s the best club in the world. I don’t care what people think. I’m proud of these players, and I’m proud of these people – incredible.”
